Privacy Policy

AstroNakshatraPath ("we", "us") is operated from Seraikela Kharsawan, Jharkhand, India. This page explains what we collect when you use astronakshatrapath.com, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

• Account details — email address and password (stored and hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see your plaintext password).
• Mobile number — collected when you sign up, and again for each saved Kundli profile. It is associated with your account and saved Kundli profiles and, only if you separately opt in (see WhatsApp delivery below), is used to send you a report over WhatsApp. We do not use it for marketing calls or texts.
• Birth details / Kundli data — date, time, and place of birth for yourself and any additional saved Kundli profiles you create (e.g. for a family member). This is the core input for every chart, report, and Dosha check on the site. Place of birth is converted to coordinates via a geocoding lookup so we can calculate your chart accurately.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment gateway. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and an order/transaction reference; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Generated reports — the report content we generate for you is stored so it can be re-downloaded, and a record of when and how it was delivered (email, and WhatsApp if you opted in) is kept for support and to avoid sending it twice.
• Usage data — standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated by our hosting providers for security and reliability, not for tracking or advertising.
• Optional analytics — only if you choose “Allow”: anonymous visit statistics through Google Analytics (see Cookies and analytics).
• AI chat messages — questions you ask Astro Gannu AI, our AI Vedic astrologer, and the chart context needed to answer them, are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response.

Why we collect it

• To calculate your birth chart, Panchang, Dosha checks, and reports using Swiss Ephemeris.
• To generate AI-written interpretations of your chart, on request.
• To create, deliver, and let you re-download paid PDF reports.
• To deliver a purchased report by email, and by WhatsApp only where you've opted in and the feature is active.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To provide account access and customer support.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your birth details or chat messages for advertising.

WhatsApp report delivery (opt-in)

You can choose, per saved Kundli, to also receive purchased reports on WhatsApp — this is off by default, and having a mobile number on file is never treated as consent by itself; you must explicitly turn it on. You can withdraw this consent at any time from the same Kundli settings, and future reports will then be sent by email only. WhatsApp delivery only actually happens when we have enabled and configured our WhatsApp integration with our provider (Meta) — if it's off on our end, opting in has no effect and reports are still delivered by email. When it is active and you've opted in, your phone number and the report PDF are sent to Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform for delivery.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers required to run the site:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Anthropic — powers Astro Gannu AI's chart interpretations and report writing.
• Resend — sends report-delivery emails on our behalf.
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — only if you've opted in to WhatsApp delivery and it's active, to send you that report.
• Vercel / Render — application hosting.
• Google (Google Analytics 4) — only if you allow analytics, to count visits and measure which pages and steps are used.
• Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API) — only if you allow advertising measurement, to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and purchases (details under Cookies and analytics).

Each is bound by its own data-processing terms. We do not share your birth details, chat history, or account information with anyone else. Birth details, charts, chat history and reports are never shared for marketing or advertising purposes.

In the AstroNakshatraPath iOS app

• AI only with your permission. Before Astro Gannu AI sends anything, the app asks for your permission. If you allow it, we send Anthropic your question and the earlier messages in that conversation, plus your birth date and time, your birthplace's map coordinates and the birth chart calculated from them. Your name, email address and phone number are not sent. If you don't allow it, nothing is sent and the rest of the app works normally.
• Turning it off. You can withdraw this permission at any time in Astro Gannu AI or on your Dashboard. It applies to the iPhone it was given on.
• No analytics or advertising measurement. The iOS app does not load Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• Mobile number optional. You can create an account in the iOS app without giving a mobile number.
• No purchases. The iOS app does not sell anything, so it collects no payment information.

Kundli Matching (a second person's data)

When you use Kundli Matching, you provide birth details for a second person, who may not have an AstroNakshatraPath account themselves. Please only submit someone else's details with their knowledge and consent — the same handling described above applies to that data.

How long we keep it

Account and birth details are kept for as long as your account exists, so your chart and reports remain accessible. Generated PDF reports and delivery records are retained so you can re-download past purchases and so we can confirm a report was sent. You can delete your account at any time (see below).

Your rights

• Access or export the birth details and account data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate birth details directly from your account.
• Turn WhatsApp delivery on or off at any time, per saved Kundli.
• Delete your account and associated data yourself, at any time, from astronakshatrapath.com/account/delete (also under Dashboard → Account). Deletion is immediate and removes your login, saved Kundlis and birth details, charts, AI chat history and credits, generated reports, delivery records and our records of your payments. Our payment gateway, Razorpay, keeps its own transaction records under its legal obligations.

To exercise any of these, email astronakshatrapath@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you can't log in, email us from your account's address to have the account deleted for you; we do this within 7 days.

Security

We restrict access to your data to the systems described on this page, and administrative access to customer data within our own team is logged. No online service can guarantee that data is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. They are always on, because the site cannot work without them.

Analytics is optional and off by default. When it is available, the site asks you first; only if you choose “Allow” do we load Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies (named _ga) to count visits and measure which pages and steps are used, for example that a free chart was completed or a report was bought. What we send is the page address and the step, and for some steps the report type, language, chat mode or amount. It never includes your name, email, phone number, birth details or chart. If you choose “Decline” or don't choose, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set. Google Analytics data is not used for advertising.

Advertising measurement is a separate choice, also optional and off by default. Only if you choose “Allow” do we load the Meta Pixel and tell Meta when you visit a public page, view a report or AI-credit offer, start a checkout, or complete a purchase, so we can see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work.

This is not anonymous. With each of these events Meta receives your IP address; your browser and device information; Meta's advertising cookie identifiers (_fbp, and _fbc if you arrived from a Meta ad), which the Pixel sets on this site; and, for purchases, a hashed form of your AstroNakshatraPath account ID. Hashing hides the ID itself, but the same account always produces the same value, so Meta can connect your events to each other. Meta may also match this information to a Facebook or Instagram account you have, under Meta's own privacy policy. Meta also receives the page address (never for account, sign-in, birth-detail or payment pages, or addresses containing other details), the product (for example “Career report”) and its price in rupees.

Meta never receives your name, email, phone number, birth details, chart, AI chat or report content. A purchase is reported once, from our server, only after the payment is confirmed. We keep the identifiers needed for that report only until it is sent, and for no more than 7 days. If you choose “Decline” or don't choose, nothing is sent to Meta for advertising. If you withdraw your choice later, we stop sending and cancel any purchase report not yet sent (one already being transmitted at that moment may still complete); information Meta has already received cannot be recalled by us.

Children

AstroNakshatraPath is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
